TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

 

Tee times will begin at 7:00 am each day.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE IN THE INTEREST OF PACE OF PLAY:

On Monday, August 3rd, the order of play will begin with flight NUMBER FIVE and continue in reverse order through the championship flight.

On Tuesday, August 4th, there will be a crossover with foursomes starting on both Holes 1 and 10 with the championship flight going off at the end on Hole 1.

Second day pairings will be available from the pro shop (414-352-8080) or on-line at the tournament website at http://womensamateur.badgermutual.com.

  Flights four and five will play from the red tees except for holes #1,8,10,12,15 and 17, which have new forward gold tees (slope rating 70.8/129). All other flights will play from the red tees (slope rating 73.8/132).
  Carts must be paid for daily at the pro shop by golfers wishing to use a cart.
  Free balls will be available at the driving range each morning provided by Scott Evans, Head Professional at Brown Deer Park Golf Course.
  Breakfast coffee and fruit will be available Monday and Tuesday (donated by Pick ‘N Save).
  There will be a gift bag given at the registration table. Free bottled water will be on the course. Please refill as needed from coolers (lessen the plastic impact!)
  On Monday the grill will be inside and will serve complimentary sandwiches to golfers. Complimentary beverages and other snacks will also be in the main room of the clubhouse for golfers and their caddies.
  There will be two USGA Rules people on the course available for help with rulings if needed and pace of play WILL BE MONITORED AND ENFORCED.
  Items for the silent auction and/or raffle benefiting our selected charity Lissy’s Place (a project of My Home/Your Home) and Belle Resource Center for Women & Children will be displayed in the clubhouse both days.
  Credit Card use is available this year for bidding on Silent Auction items.
  The awards luncheon will follow play on Tuesday, August 4th at approximately 1:45 p.m. ONLY GOLFERS WILL BE SEATED AT THE LUNCHEON. (Any golfer unable to stay will be provided with a box lunch upon request.)
  The winner of each flight will receive a pair of Footjoy shoes, a jacket and golf shirt.  All other places will receive merchandise certificates for the Brown Deer Pro Shop.  The number of prizes in a flight may vary based on the size of the flight.

TOURNAMENT DETAILS

 

Play Dates

Monday August 3rd and Tuesday August 4th at Brown Deer Golf Course.  The tournament will be held rain or shine. (No rain date.)  Entry deadline is July 20th.

 

Eligibility

The tournament is open to any amateur woman golfer age 16 and older with an established USGA handicap. Participation will be limited to 92 players on a first come, first serve basis.

 

Event

Two-day 18 hole stroke play. Players will be flighted by handicap. Carts and caddies are allowed, but not provided.  Carts will be available at the Pro Shop.

 

Rules

USGA rules are in force and officials will be on the course. Pace of play will be enforced. No metal spikes allowed on the course.

 

Entry

Entry fee includes Monday grill lunch, refreshments and Tuesday awards luncheon.

       (one which includes Brown Deer Golf Course).............. $100
  Students ages 16 – 18
       (without Milwaukee discount card).............................. $115
  All other participants........................................................ $150

 

Accommodations

Brown Deer Women’s Club can house a limited number of golfers in their homes. If interested please call (414) 351-0819 before July 26th.  Area hotels are: Four Points by Sheraton on Kildeer Court, Manchester East on Port Washington Road, Courtyard by Marriott on Brown Deer Road. No room block reservations have been made at these hotels.

 

Tee Times

The first tee time will be 7:00 am.  Tee times can be found on the tournament web site (womensamateur.badgermutual.com,) beginning on July 28th.  Second day tee times will be available on the web site on Monday late afternoon.

Award Presentation, silent auction, raffle, and luncheon will follow the end of the second day of play.
